Reanimation wins Nightcup #20!

A night full of emotions on the FPSChallenge.eu platform! The jubilee, twentieth edition of the Call of Duty 2 Nightcup went down in history not only for the high level of competition but above all for the record interest from the community.

Organizational Success: Bracket Bursting at the Seams

The organizers at FPSChallenge.eu faced quite a challenge. Although the slot limit was set to the standard 32, as many as 34 formations registered to participate. In a gesture of fair play, the site administration decided not to reject any team, expanding the tournament bracket. Thanks to this, everyone who expressed a desire to compete was given a chance to fight for the title, resulting in one of the highest turnouts we have observed in the history of this series.

Road to the Final

Competition in the single-elimination system forgave no mistakes. On the way to the top, we observed fierce battles – it is worth mentioning the thriller performed by the eventual winners, 🇭🇺 Reanimation, who narrowly avoided elimination in an earlier stage, beating 🇳🇱 d1rtybomb only after overtime (19:17).

On the other side of the bracket, 🇪🇺 BoMBSQUaD also had to climb to the heights of their skills, eliminating teams like 🇵🇱 sfora with a minimal score of 16:14.

Grand Final: 🇭🇺 Reanimation vs 🇪🇺 BoMBSQUaD (13:8) 🥇

In the decisive clash on the mp_trainstation_fix map, the teams 🇭🇺 Reanimation and 🇪🇺 BoMBSQUaD faced each other. The match ended with Reanimation’s victory with a score of 13:8, giving them the Nightcup #20 champion title.

📊 Final Statistical Analysis:

The key to 🇭🇺 Reanimation’s victory turned out to be incredible synergy and balance in the team. The scoreboard speaks for itself:

• Duo of Leaders: 🇭🇺 Sp1RiT and 🇭🇺 pawadox played almost identical games – both scored 19 frags with 13 deaths, achieving a great K/D Ratio of 1.46.
• Support: The remaining members (🇭🇺 inzEn, 🇭🇺 kesZz, 🇭🇺 TIGGLER) added solid contributions, maintaining an even pace.

On the 🇪🇺 BoMBSQUaD side, however, we observed a textbook example of a “One Man Army”.

• Player 🇫🇷 SHOGOZER went above and beyond, securing as many as 21 frags (the most on the server) and achieving an impressive K/D of 1.50.
• Unfortunately, there was a lack of a bit of luck and frags from teammates. The rest of the squad finished the map with a negative balance (K/D 1.00 and lower), which tipped the scales of victory in favor of the more balanced rival.

Fight for the Podium: 🇭🇷 Croatia with Bronze 🥉

In the match for third place (the so-called small final), teams 🇭🇷 Croatia and 🇪🇺 outplay faced off. The arena of struggles was the mp_toujane_fix map.

The Croatian formation gave the opponents little chance, controlling the course of the meeting and confidently winning 13:7. Thus, 🇭🇷 Croatia closes the Nightcup #20 podium, confirming their high disposition in the tournament.
