DAY 1 summary – CoDBASE CoD1 Overlord#3 LAN Zagreb
Saturday’s action in Zagreb has come to an end. The group stage of the Call of Duty 1 OVERLORD part 3 tournament brought us plenty of excitement, though it wasn’t without technical issues and organizational challenges. After playing most of the planned 18 rounds, the situation in the standings is clear.
Favorites’ Dominance
The undisputed kings of the group stage were The Myth of. They finished the day with an impressive 49 points, losing only one map during the entire stage! Right behind them, with 47 points, is the Dutch squad DREAMTEAM, who were hot on the leaders’ heels until the very end. The podium is rounded out by the Czech team Entropiq, confirming their solid form.
Teams and Mid-table
The top eight, which typically qualifies for the next stage, also includes the hosts from dopefishLAN (4th place) as well as the Hungarian teams whatever KINGZ and TeamTorsoLower.
The Polish team GumiSie placed in the 7th position. Unfortunately, due to delays, not all matches were played to the very end.
Organizer Decisions and the mskr Situation
The organizers informed about issues with the streaming PC configuration, which impacted the schedule. Additionally, there was an unfortunate health situation involving the player mskr – the entire community wishes him a speedy recovery!
Due to the delays, an administrative decision was made: teams that did not play their last match (GumiSie and memora) will be awarded one win each (map win) to finalize the group stage formalities.
Sunday Schedule – Starting at 08:00!
Sunday is time for the “meat” of the tournament – the knockout stage in a Best of 3 (BO3) format.
⏰ Start: Punctually at 08:00. The organizers ask everyone not to be late! Teams from the bottom of the table (THERALINFINITY and b2l) are asked to arrive by 10:00.
Get ready for high excitement, because in the BO3 system, there is no more room for error. See you in the morning!
